The Dell Rapids School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Girls Softball Coach to join our coaching staff. The ideal candidate will support the head coach in all aspects of the program and contribute to a positive and successful team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the head coach in planning and implementing practices.
• Work with individual players to develop their skills.
• Help execute game strategies and make in-game adjustments.
• Track player progress and maintain statistics.
• Manage equipment and facilities.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and the head coach.
• Promote sportsmanship and positive team culture.
• Foster a safe and supportive environment for all athletes.
• Adhere to all school and district policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
• Strong knowledge of softball rules and strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with coaches and players.
• Commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Background check clearance
• Complete SDHSAA Coaching requirements.
