The Dell Rapids School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Girls Softball Coach to join our coaching staff. The ideal candidate will support the head coach in all aspects of the program and contribute to a positive and successful team environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist the head coach in planning and implementing practices.
Work with individual players to develop their skills.
Help execute game strategies and make in-game adjustments.
Track player progress and maintain statistics.
Manage equipment and facilities.
Communicate effectively with players, parents, and the head coach.
Promote sportsmanship and positive team culture.
Foster a safe and supportive environment for all athletes.
Adhere to all school and district policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
Strong knowledge of softball rules and strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with coaches and players.
Commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
