The Dell Rapids School District has an opening for a Full-Time School Nutrition Manager for the 26-27 school year.

 

STARTING WAGE: $20.00/hour

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to lift heavy objects of at least 40 pounds, to stand for up to 4 hours, and to work in hot temperatures.

 

SUPERVISES: Assists the School Nutrition Director in the supervision of School Nutrition Workers. Conducts supervision of staff in the director’s absence.

 

WORK YEAR: Full-time during school year; 8 hours per day

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assists the School Nutrition Director in supervising, managing, and coordinating Child Nutrition Programs and department staff.
2. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws/regulations pertaining to USDA’s Child Nutrition Programs.
3. Provides training, leadership, and coaching to Child Nutrition personnel in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings.
4. Manages and coordinates the effective use of Child Nutrition software and special diets.
5. Performs prep work, including preparing food menu items, setting up serving/dining areas, filling milk coolers, and stocking food items.  
6. Serve students, staff, and guests in a pleasant, efficient manner.
7. Clean work area, equipment, and assigned areas of responsibility to ensure proper sanitation of all food preparation, serving, and storage areas.
8. These are general duties; other duties may be required on any given day as needed.
